Syarikat Prasarana Negara Berhad

Opus is appointed by Prasarana to provide project consultancy services for the implementation of the Kelana Jaya (KLJ) and Ampang (AMG) Lines Extension projects. The project will cover a 17.0km of elevated guide way structure with 12 stations for KLJ Line, and a 17.7km of elevated structure with 13 stations and one depot for AMG Line. The two lines will be integrated at Putra Heights. The project is intended to enhance or improve the LRT services by serving new area and extending the current lines to the established densely populated residential and commercial areas in the Klang Valley.

UEM Group Berhad
Opus has provided design management, project planning and monitoring as well as post construction management in the UEM Group Corporate Headquarters, or Mercu UEM project. The office building is located within the Central Business District at the central transportation hub of KL Sentral and is a 5-star development. The building is built on the existing deck of KTMB line that runs below. The development consists of 29-storey office tower with an 8-storey podium for the amenities floor and car parks with total gross floor area of 552,000 sq. ft. The amenities include a 500-pax multipurpose hall, common boardrooms, conference/seminar rooms, surau, library, gallery, cafeteria with kitchen facilities and recreation centre.

Since its completion in December 2009, Opus as the Asset Manager for Mercu UEM provides total asset management service encompasses the aspects of property management, facilities management, maintenance operations and provision of soft and technical services.

Pelaburan Hartanah Berhad
Opus is involved in a proposed development of Medical Suite (Phase 1A) and Cark-park Basement (Phase 1) that started in August 2009. The overall project is currently at planning/design stage with Site Investigation, while site clearance and demolition works completed in December 2009. The construction works expected to commence in 2010.

Syarikat Air Terengganu

Opus has been commissioned to support Syarikat Air Terengganu (SATU) to prepare its 3-year and 30-year business plan based on Asset Valuation and Water Asset Management concept. This project is schedule to complete in July 2010.

Kementerian Pengangkutan Malaysia/ Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad

Opus is involved in the Electrified Double Track Ipoh-Padang Besar project to provide project management services of the engineering and architectural works for the construction of a double track suitable for train operation between Ipoh and Padang Besar. The track route is divided into two sectors: Mainline of 171 km track line from Ipoh to Butterworth and Kedah Line of 158 km track line from Bukit Mertajam to Padang Besar.

The project includes construction of 23 new stations with 3 depots, 66 roads over bridges, 8 road under bridges, 75 river bridges and 45 pedestrian/motorcycles bridges. The works also include 3.63 km of tunnels at Bukit Berapit and Larut, marine viaduct at Bukit Merah, power supply system, electrification, communication and signaling.

Kementerian Pengangkutan Malaysia/ Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad

Opus has completed all infrastructure and systems works for the 180 km long Double Track Electrified Line from Rawang to Ipoh on 31 December 2007. The project includes a double line metre gauge track, bridge, stations, yards and sidings, signals and communications, automatic fare collection as well as electrification systems. The project, which is an extension to the present double tracking system between Seremban, Kuala Lumpur and Rawang, is intended to extend the commuter service up to Tanjung Malim and to introduce a new rapid intercity service between Kuala Lumpur and Ipoh.

Kementerian Pengangkutan Malaysia
Opus, through a partnership with Kinta Samudra Sdn Bhd provides project management consultancy services for the effective implementation of the Railway Development At Batu Gajah from the pre-award to the post-award phase. The Railway Development at Batu Gajah consisted of Package 1(Workshops and Depot; complete with the related railway infrastructure facilities e.g. stabling yards, electrification, signaling and communication works) and Package 2 (Staff Quarters and KTM Academy). Package 2 was fully completed as scheduled on 7 November 2008 while for Package 1 the effective date for the Certificate Of Partial Occupancy was on 5 November 2009.

PLUS Expressways Berhad
Opus has extended its project management services for the development of PLUS Headquarters. The building consists of 12-storey corporate tower with 1-storey basement and a helipad and annex buildings, which is completed with a banquet hall, sports hall, childcare centre and recreational park with lake. The project has since completed and handed over in November 2008.

Project Lebuhraya Utara Selatan Berhad (PLUS), Expressway Lingkaran Tengah Sdn Bhd (ELITE) & Linkedua (Malaysia) Berhad (LINKEDUA)
Opus provides expressways network maintenance management and technical advisory services for the entire 848 km of the North South Expressway (NSE), 60 km of the North South Expressway Central Link (ELITE), and 44 km of the Malaysia Singapore Second Crossing (Linkedua) including the 16.8 km of the Butterworth-Kulim Expressway (BKE).

The network maintenance management and technical advisory services encompasses a combination of services to optimise the 'whole of life' cost of asset ownership. These include asset periodic inspections; technical detailing and construction monitoring for heavy repair works related to pavement, slopes, culverts, bridges and tunnels; construction contract management for contract works; information management system on expressway assets and emergency response.

Project Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan Berhad (PLUS)
Opus provides design management, contract administration, project planning and monitoring, and construction management services to PLUS in implementing the project. The project involves widening the sections of the North-South Expressway from Seremban to Ayer Keroh (68.5 km) and from Rawang to Slim River (73 km) from dual-2 lane carriageways to dual-3 lane carriageways and modifying the traffic scheme of the 14 km section between Ipoh (South) and Jelapang. This project is divided into eight (8) construction packages with a total construction cost of RM975 million. The widened section in the southern region was opened to road users in November 2007 while the section in the central region in April 2009. The modification scheme between Ipoh (South) and Jelapang was completed and opened to road users in April 2009.

Cyberview Sdn Bhd
Opus provides Project Management Services on Asset Development and Asset Management projects undertaken by Cyberview Sdn Bhd, the landowner of Cyberjaya Flagship Zone. The Project Management Services covers from planning, design, coordination, supervision, administration and contract management from design development to defect liability period.

The Asset Development covers the development of office space on the designated enterprise land in response to the demand from multinational companies or other companies interested to relocate their operations in Cyberjaya. There are about 1.2 million sqft and 800,000 sqft gross floor areas of office spaces that have been completed and to be completed by middle of 2010, respectively. Few more project components such as the development of the residential area, incubator and data centre are in the pipeline for implementation. The services provided also cover the development of public amenities namely Cyberjaya Lake Club, parking facilities at Sports Arena and Park & Ride, bus shelters and pedestrian walkway. Opus also oversees extended services by Cyberview such as Dedicated Transportation System and the installation of CCTV.

As for the asset management, the scope of works covers the management and maintenance of all public infrastructure related works Among the projects under asset management are the reinstatement and maintenance of landscaping works along utility reserve (30km and 2 public parks), reinstatement and maintenance of drainage, signage and other related works, desilting of main drain, repainting of road marking, maintenance of street lights and traffic lights, maintenance of 39 numbers of bus shelters, junction modification among others.

Cahaya Jauhar Sdn Bhd
Sited on 273 acres of land, Opus in partnership with Kinta Samudra Sdn Bhd provides project management services on the design and planning, procurement and contract, and the construction management of the development. The development is being implemented on phases and includes secondary infrastructure; the Dewan Negeri Johor, the Menteri Besar and State Secretary Complex, the Dataran Mahkota and the State Department Complex Clusters C2S and C3S. The Phase 1 development is completed and in operation in stages since mid 2009 and fully occupied in Jan 2010 and able to accommodate about 1,200 state civil service employees.

Institut Jantung Negara (IJN)
Opus has extended its technical support to the development of the new healthcare facilities for IJN. The country’s premier institution of cardiovascular healthcare provider has earlier embarked on an expansion of facilities to meet the increasing demands of all cardiac cases for future needs. The new hospital building hosts modern high-tech medical equipment with an additional 185 fully equipped beds including space provision for another 96 beds for future expansion. The scope of works involves the construction of a new building adjacent to the existing hospital and refurbishment of the existing facilities to cater for IJN’s immediate needs. The project has since completed in July 2009.

Penang Bridge Sdn Bhd (PBSB)
Opus extends its project management services for the widening of the Penang Bridge from the present dual two-lane carriageway at the low level viaduct to dual three-lane carriageway, which is critical to cater for the increasing traffic volume plying the bridge. The project, which consists of three packages, has been completed. Package 1 - Low level viaduct, and Package 2 - Bridge Number 3, 7 and 8 are both completed in June 2009, whereas Package 3 - Uni-directional ramps, is completed in July 2009. The Certificates of Practical Completion have been issued by the Engineer and the Malaysian Highway Authority has further issued the “Sijil Kesempurnaan Pembinaan Lebuhraya” to PBSB.

Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB)
Since commencement in 2007, Opus has been providing project management consultancy services and assisting TNB in managing the design, construction, testing and commissioning of the project. Overall progress has reached 20% for both the transmission line and the substation. The project, which is targeted for completion in June 2010, will ultimately transmit 1000MVA power and is expected to strengthen TNB's transmission network in the southern region of Kuala Lumpur.

PT Lintas Marga Sedaya
Opus is involved in the pre-construction planning phase and the client is in the process of seeking highway authority approvals as well as land acquisition for the project. The proposed Cikampek- Palimanan Toll Road (CPTR) is a dual- two lane expressway with a total length of 118 km located on the Island of Java, Indonesia. CPTR, which links Cikampek and Palimanan in the west and east, respectively, will form part of the Trans- Java highway from Merak in the west to Banyuwangi on the eastern end of Java Island. CPTR will also link some of the major cities/ towns along the expressway route with a closed toll system via seven interchanges and toll plazas. Construction is expected to start in September 2010.
